Nice and Peaceful Trip in Khao Sok31 Aug - 4 Sep 2008 After back from KL, we stayed one night in Bangkok with my uncle and then took early flight to Surat. Woh! it was so lucky! Most flights went down to the south were closed coz of the mob but not in Surat! so it's not problem to us. Saw many tourists they planned to fly to Krabi or Phuket had to change their flight to Surat. So this is first time, our flight was crowded. We arrived to Surat town, then took a van to Khao Sok, it was in between Surat and Phang-nga. On the way to Khao Sok, could see the high mountains and lush green trees both sides of the road, it was like Monkey and Gorilla back to the jungle(home) :)) We were dropped-off at the main road in front of the entrance to Khao Sok National Park but the park's still about a few kms.away from the entrance.We booked at "The Cliff & River Jungle Resort" for 4 nights! I thought it was located near the entrance to the national park but I was wrong!! It was on the main road that we already passed!! There're a small village at where we dropped, i asked a guy if he knew our resort, he said it was pretty far from here. I told him that we would wait for the bus but he told us that it was about a couple kms away!! from the entrance coz the bus would only dropped on the main road and then we needed to walk to the resort with big bags to carry. He said he could get someone to take us there, but had to pay about 500Bt.!!! so expensive!!!! To make sure, I called and talked to the guys from resort, luckily they could come and picked us up!woohoo~!! Yeh we saw it was not far to walk from the main road to the resort!(about 200 metres only!) that guy for the place we dropped tried to scam us!! The resort we stayed was so beautiful. Not many guests as it should be, that was good, so private for Monkey and Gorilla :) We booked the bangalow which was near the pool! We could see the nice view from our room coz it was high, but the restaurant was down there, needed to get some exercise ;P I was surprised, there were so crowded at the restaurant the last morning before we checked out! Those ppl would come from a company for seminar or something. Luckily, we were leaving soon. During we stayed there, we went to Ratchaprapa Dam next morning. It was very nice to float along the Dam visiting a cave, little trekking and having good lunch yummy :P Next day we went to elephant riding, it was so hot and exciting coz during the ride, the elephant walked to the jungle and on the way sometimes, it's very steep, I just grabbed my seat tight! (worried about my Gorilla too coz he's just on the elephant's neck!!) We had a short stopped at a small lovely waterfall then the elephant took us back to where we started. It was very good trip, but I've got the sore back from it. xD However we had one full day left, just spent lazy day at the resort :D It's happy time for Money & Gorilla.❤❤ Another Good Trip Together in KL27-30 Aug 2008
Monkey and Gorilla took the early bus from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur. It’s pretty long hour on the bus. The bus dropped us at Singapore-Malaysia Border to check our passports at the immigration for both countries. Funny, people at the Malaysia immigration thought I was Malaysian! There were counters only for Malaysians to line up for checking their passport. And counters for foreigners, then they called me to go to Malaysian one, I showed them my Thai passport so they laughed! It’s understandable that people in same region look similar. Like we are hardly to tell where they’re from when seeing Western people! When I went to Hanoi, they also thought I was Vietnamese too, even I’m really tanned skinned while Vietnamese girls have fair skin!! Anyway, Monkey and Gorilla arrived later than we expected coz our bus was broken or something so we had to wait for a while at the border. We arrived KL in the afternoon, stayed at Allson Genesis Hotel. When we were about to get something to eat for dinner, it was pouring rain hard and flooded quickly!! We couldn’t even cross the road coz it was full of water, just stopped in front of the shop. It rained heavily with thunder and lightning, it scared me a lot! After waiting for a while, didn’t seem to stop, we were wet and cool LOL! It was fun! The next day it was not too bad, I just had my umbrella with me. The day we went to Genting, it was perfect weather. We enjoyed theme park a lot! We tried many exciting rides. I felt like my heart was going to stop, thought I would never try again, never! The weather here was so good, foggy and very cool! That’s why ppl wore jumper or jacket like they were in cold place! Sometimes, the fog was so thick, hardly to see things, then it turned to clearer and then thicker again. In the building, there’re restaurants and some mild rides, feeling warmer when we were inside. We spent whole day there and went back late at night. The departure date, we was so rush!! And yeah we missed the plane~~!! No!! taxi dropped us at wrong airport!! It was international airport, but no Air Asia!! We had to go to another place coz we would fly with Air Asia, then it took about 30 mins to go to that airport! Then our plane wasn’t leave yet, but they said check in counter closed! Damn it!!! Actually still have time, but they closed in 45 mins! It was like 5 mins late! But, yah don’t wanna complain more coz it was our fault! Then, we bought new flight to BKK and arrived safe in the evening same day. We enjoyed our time together even sometimes, it was rough day but still happy to be together sharing both good and bad time! The worst place can be the great one when there are Monkey and Gorilla .. ♡ Good Trip in Singapore23-27 Aug 2008
Monkey and Gorilla flied to Singapore. We arrived at Changi International Airport at night. Time there was 1 hr earlier than in Thailand. The airport was very nice, big and convenient and we could use internet for free there!! Since we arrived it rained.. but we could catch the subway from the airport to town. It's our first time for the subway there, little confused with coins but it was ok. I think it's less confusing, and better than subway in Bangkok. It's also cheaper, worth it coz you can take a longer ride while paying similar rate that u pay for BTS. We stopped at Bugis MRT Station where is the nearest station to our hotel (Summer View Hotel), but to me i felt it was a long walk!! Anyway we just walked along the street through high buildings while raining a little bit. One good thing there is when u wanna cross the road just wait for the light. But things was so expensive!! (1 SGD ~ 29฿)!! But first thing we needed to buy was umbrella coz it was usually raining there! During our stays in Singapore, we went to Jurong Birdpark, Sentosa, Night Safari, Merlion Park and we cruised along Singapore River at night. Then on 27 Aug, we caught the bus to Kuala Lumpur in the morning. Monkey and gorilla had very wonderful times togethere. ♡ Wonderful Trip at Halong Bay19 - 22 August 2008 Monkey & Gorilla catched the plane to Hanoi. We arrived at Noi Bai airport in Hanoi at about 1.45 PM. Then, we took the van to our hotel in town. On the way we heard alot of Beep-beep sounds from vehicles on the road and also from the van we took! The weird thing was that they did beeping almost The bikes and moterbikes're alot more than cars, and they didn't seem to be scared of big cars. All vehicles on the road tried to go through and get on their way. Only stopped for a few sec at a traffic light, and kept going. I didn't know why they had the traffic light there. It's more like a furniture on the road, didnt help anything. Most of the roads in Hanoi they're one-way so it's easy to drive without bewaring much. I think ppl there they have very good driving skills!! XD It was so hard to cross the road!! I only found one flyover!!! so surprised! but it's not near where I stayed. First time we tried to cross the road it took us so long coz cars didnt stop for us, and we saw local ppl could do that so easy in big traffic.. what they did just kept walking coz the cars would go other way so we've learnt it! We stayed at Hanoi Paradise hotel, it was very nice with a big room and free internet. On the 2rd day we went to halong bay, got the van from the junk trip we booked, picked us up from our hotel in the morning. It was lucky there's no rain in Halong Bay, very beautiful place and peaceful.. The junk trip we took it was so nice, it was only a small group of ppl on the boat. The meals was nice, they served many dishes each meal. There were only 16 ppl in the trip. 1st day on the boat we went to nice caves, and went for swim in the afternoon. I could get a small life jacket so no worried for swim :D Next morning it was last day at the junk trip coz we took 2 days 1 night, we went kayaking started at about 8.30 am, it was hot already with strong sunlight that's why I got more tan T_T !! Monkey and Gorilla in same kayak, we had to paddle alot, my arms're so sored from that, but it's fun :) After we had lunch on the junk, heading back to the port and arrived Hanoi safely at about 6 PM. To travel from Hanoi to halong took about 3 hrs. Where ppl there ate it was pretty weird too coz they ate on a small table and small seat. It was ok to eat near the street, like in Bkk, but there in hanoi, I didn'y wanna try coz didn't wanna get sick :S We only ate from a restaurant or KFC. They didnt even have 7/11 or any shop similar to that. They have a few big supermarket, I thought it was big, but when getting there, it's not even close to ones we have in thailand like BigC or Tessco at all!! lol The shop there it was like the place I've been when i was very young. Anyway, I had very good time coz I have my gorilla to travel with :) Being lazy to write more now.. I'll wrote about next trip later :P So, Bye4 now ! XXX Monkey ♡ Gorilla |
